What a fantastic summer!
I’m thrilled to say that I’ve had tons of hydrotherapy clients — working either in swimming pools, or somewhere close by in the great outdoors! I’ve worked with dogs like:
"Tazzy", the 4 year old American Staffordshire who learned to love the water, and has recovered beautifully from her ACL surgery…
"Sarek", an elderly gentleman that hadn’t been swimming in over 2 years! I taught his mom how to properly increase the times of his sessions, and what to avoid (hyperextension of the spine, etc.). This marathon swimmer is up to 30 minutes of swimming 2 to 3 times a week — he LOVES it!!!
And "Secret", who’d never been swimming before. This 4 year old agility girl gets monthly chiropractic adjustments for low back issues, and on her last visit, the vet noticed a big improvement in trunk and core tone because of her weekly swims!
As we head into the colder months, a special reminder to my Veterinarian and Animal Health Professional associates:
- My practice is mobile, providing the ultimate convenience, and I make home visits throughout the tri-state area and beyond. Bodywork, passive range of motion, Class 3B Cold Laser, and home exercise instruction can all be valuable tools in keeping your your clients more comfortable, more mobile, and stronger throughout the winter.
- My goal is to empower dog owners to play a more active role in their dog’s wellness by teaching them simple things that they can do at home.
